The Pillow Project will be hosting a unique happening this month where all of the music featured and performed to will come exclusively from our audience! As a one-of-a-kind ‘jukebox-style’ event, our evening’s guests will be providing their favorite music (via mp3 player, laptop or CD) where the resident artists of The Pillow Project will then create spontaneous, on-the-spot compositions to their plays. Like a virtual jukebox, each play (no longer than about 7 minutes, please) will be $5 or 5 plays for $20 with all proceeds going towards The Pillow Project’s exciting 2012 season. Come support and be a part of Pittsburgh’s only improvisational jazz company, and see what we can do with your music… anything flies… nothing is ‘unjazzable’! Nothing!

The SECOND SATURDAYS jazz-happenings are The Pillow Project's original creation for igniting a new movement of live, physical-jazz in Pittsburgh... sharing dance, light and music together in a truly unique jazz-lounge/performance-gallery atmosphere. Every second Saturday of the month features an evening open to the public of ongoing improvisational performances, live multimedia experimentations and honest, spontaneous, jazzed expressions of the moment.
