As We Reflect
Choreography by Catherine Cook
Music by Anouar Brahem
Performance by Jillian Butchki (solo), Jessica Davidson, Claire Gendron, TJ Powell
It is important that we take the time to reflect on our lives. Looking back on all of the things we have accomplished and failed at, and seeing how much we have grown as individuals. It is so easy to get caught up in our day to day life, but learning to never take our existence for granted since we only have one chance in this world.
Litost
Choreography by Qadir Farrakhan
Music by Ezio Busso
Performance by Ezekiel Martinez
Litost is a solo from the larger work ‘Gradual Amor Fati’. This solo encapsulates one’s processing of life’s traumas, and finally witnessing the magnitude of their suffering. This body of work focuses on how this cloud of sorrow can often feel desolate, making it hard to feel like it wasn’t deserved. This trauma can shape how you see the world, and how you think the world see’s you.
